ATCO Properties approached Redline with a unique multi-faceted retail opportunity at Camp North End that involved re-purposing an existing adaptive reuse shell space into two quick-service restaurants (Bird is the Word Chicken Shack and B.A.D. Donuts), one full-service seafood restaurant (Passage), and one speakeasy (Abyss). This “Mega Kitchen” also includes two full-size commercial kitchens and a patio/outdoor dining area. Redline utilized the existing exposed brick walls, sealed concrete floors, exposed wood decking with steel truss and exposed concrete columns while implementing each restaurant’s brand within their space. The speakeasy was up-fitted with wood coffered ceilings, a fireplace with mantel and built in shelving, custom booth seating and curved bar and custom wood paneling to give warmth to the space.
