Haerfest Coffee Roasting Co. reached out to Redline wanting to develop a new coffee shop that could highlight elements of their creative roasting process. They wanted to showcase the pairing of visuals with different coffee flavors, utilizing multiple senses to create a unique interactive experience. With Backdrop Coffee being an extension of Haerfest, they wanted their roasters to get a face to face interaction with the end users and the customers to get a front row seat to the coffee process from bean to cup. The cupping lab facilitates this experience and bridges the two spaces together. Custom industrial shelving separates the point of sale and the seating area. This helps to provide a more intimate setting throughout the linear footprint. An industrial concrete structure was the perfect foundation for the owner’s Airstream inspired design.
