Edifice Construction has been a long time partner with Redline Design Group. Their recent relocation included reusing an historic heavy-timber truss structure, which in its previous life served as the roof structure for a decommissioned municipal airport hanger. The structure was disassembled years ago and relocated to its current location on South Boulevard. Serving as the interior design team for the project, Redline Design Group left the wood trusses exposed and took great care in hiding all new ductwork, equipment and lighting from view to maximize the impact of the wood timbers. Our team also implemented a clean, simple palette to compliment the wood timbers and installed clear glass fronts on the conference rooms and private offices to maintain a sense of transparency and openness. The result is a seamless synthesis between new & old – historic & modern.
