Yodle, a fresh and energetic marketing firm who recently was voted 9th on Forbes’s list of America’s most promising companies, came into the Charlotte area with hopes of expanding their online marketing and client services presence on the east coast. Their decision to build a branch office in Charlotte would bring the promise of 130 new jobs to the city.
Yodle wanted find a way to take the company’s brand identity and incorporate it to create a work experience that was altogether unique. Redline had to begin with converting what was once Cambridge Corporate Center’s lunch cafeteria into office space. In the existing conditions, we found a tremendous amount of design potential with the opportunity to open up the 2nd floor to the lower level, allowing for a very fun and vibrant workspace. On the second level, we created a large break room equipped with pool, shuffleboard, and ping pong tables all within a space filled with pops of bright color to mix a little bit of playtime with worktime. Another design element within the space is a custom backlit logo wall, which includes a gong for announcing to the team when a major sale had been made. There is also a contemporary monumental staircase, and funky screen wall to provide privacy for the staff while still allowing natural daylight to stream into the main lobby.
