FORTNIGHT BREWING

CARY, NC

3,000 SF

This event space was created to accommodate small groups and large corporate events and alleviate overcrowding in the taproom. The owner wanted a space with a more current/light vibe than the existing/dark old English taproom. Concrete floors painted with ‘Mind the Gap’, sprawling subway maps and views of the London Underground’s iconic red signs fill the room at Fortnight Brewing Company’s Terminal B event space. The design was inspired by the owner’s English roots and his desire to introduce Americans to traditional English beers. The custom-designed bar features an arch that mimics the curvature of a train station roof. Structural support is provided by hand-crafted steel caps with large rivets mimicking the industrial feel of the open-air space. Classic white subway tiles contrast against the dark rolled steel bar façade, creating a timeless look harkening back to London’s first subway system in the 1860s. The Carriage Rooms, located in the back of the Event Space, use Environmental Graphics to create the illusion that you are stepping right into a train car.
